Andrew Goldie
Andy is a founder and trustee of 999 RE:SET, with an appetite for adventure and passion for good mental health and physical wellbeing.
With more than 30 years' operating in the outdoors, Andy has continually challenged his ability to learn and operate safely while having fun. Andy is comfortable training in a variety of environments, from the snow-covered mountains of Canada, summiting 4000m peaks in the Alps, and Ice climbing in Norway to operating in the jungle of Belize whilst serving in the Army.
Andy has a passion for the Scottish mountains and can be found walking and climbing his way around the amazing landscape or canoeing on the remote Scottish lochs and the beautiful Moray coast.
Andy is currently a volunteer with REACT disaster response and a serving operational Watch Commander in the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service.
James Traynor
James joined the 999 RE:SET team as a Trustee, keen to combine his passion for positive mental health with his love of the outdoors.
Growing up in the Scottish Islands, James developed a deep appreciation for the natural environment from an early age. His connection with the mountains began in the winter of 2001 during his service as a Royal Marines Reservist, and he has felt at home in that landscape ever since.
Whether moving quickly through the mountains or competing in road, trail and fell races, James spent many years pursuing endurance sport. His achievements include multiple UK Fire Service Road Running Championship titles and several ultra-marathon podium finishes, most notably victory in the Glasgow to Edinburgh Ultra Marathon.
James is a serving Station Commander with the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service, bringing extensive operational leadership experience and a strong commitment to supporting the wellbeing of others.


Keith Thomson
999 RE:SET's Lead Mountain Guide, Keith, has been hiking and scrambling in the Scottish mountains for more than 30 years.
A qualified Mountain Leader and former Mountain Rescue team member, Keith is close to completing his Munro Round. Along the way he has enjoyed countless days in the hills, including the Cuillin Ridge, Glencoe, Torridon, Glen Shiel and the Nevis Range, across all seasons and conditions.
Keith is passionate about helping people build confidence in the mountains, sharing his knowledge and experiences, and demonstrating how time spent outdoors can have a positive impact on mental health and wellbeing.
A Prison Officer with over 25 years' service, Keith has spent the last 16 years working as a Physical Education Instructor. This role has given him a deep understanding of how physical activity can support mental health, wellbeing and personal resilience.

Ryan Gill
Ryan has joined the team at 999 RE:SET with a passion for outdoor sports and improving the mental health of blue light employees and their families.
Ryan comes from a background in Mountain biking, and triathlon, and has competed in both events completing events such as the arduous Highland warrior Middle distance triathlon at Kinlochleven. He is passionate about introducing people to the outdoors and believes that spending time outdoors is strongly linked to improved mental health.
Ryan is a serving operational Watch Commander with the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service.


Ashley Darge
Ashley's passion for the outdoors started when she did her Duke of Edinburgh as a teenager and was given the opportunity to try outdoor activities with a local youth club.
She has gone on to complete a HND in Outdoor Education/Adventure Sports coaching which has given her the a deep understanding of the positive impact the outdoors has on wellbeing. She has a particular love of canoeing and hiking. Ashley has completed two seasons in UK outdoor Centres as an activity instructor and two seasons coaching Paddlesports on the Ardeche River in the South of France.
With a passion for all things wellness Ashley is always open to having a chat and is supported by a Mental Health First aid qualification. She currently works as a Community Safety Advocate for SFRS.
